HEATHER FAIRCLOUGH, RMT

Heather Fairclough grew up in a small community in Nova Scotia’s Annapolis Valley and now calls Halifax home.

She graduated from a 2200 hour program at the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in 2003 and has been practicing ever since.

Even though Heather works in Halifax she still brings a small town feel to her clinic and offers high-standard massage therapy treatment in her practice.

She has been a Registered Massage Therapist and member in good standing with the Massage Therapy Association of Nova Scotia (MTANS) since 2003. She opened her own massage therapy clinic, Halifax Therapeutic Massage, in 2012 after working over 8 years at Natural Means Massage Therapy.

Heather has over 21 years of experience in the massage therapy profession and has worked for the Objective Structured Clinical Evaluation (NS Board Exam) 2009-2012, was a clinic supervisor at Eastern College 2017, and has recently started volunteering in July 2019 as a committee member at MTANS to take a more active role within the profession as whole.

In her massage therapy practice she focuses on keeping up to date within her profession to give her clients a high standard of care.

Heather has a professional and personal interest in chronic pain and the biopsychosocial approach since being diagnosed with a connective tissue disorder. She understands personally the difficulty in managing chronic pain and takes a proactive and preventative approach in her own life and is happy to share her knowledge with her clients to help them reach their goals to better health and well-being.
